The Challenge

There’s a skills gap, a gender gap, and a major opportunity gap.

Despite Ethiopia’s growing economy, youth unemployment remains critically high – especially in urban areas and among young women. Many graduates struggle to access entry-level opportunities due to a lack of practical, in-demand skills. At the same time, businesses in fast-growing sectors face a shortage of trained sales professionals. This disconnect limits job creation and constrains business growth.

Workforce of the future

Impact that scales

The innovation

Hands-on sales training that meets real-world needs.

The team around founder and CEO Beza Ayalew Sharew, composed primarily of young women, is redefining what early career success looks like in Ethiopia. BeSingularity provides targeted, practical sales training to entry-level job seekers—particularly young women—meeting the growing demand for skilled sales professionals across sectors like FMCG, digital services, and professional services. Through job placements, sales outsourcing solutions and consultancy services, the company helps businesses grow while unlocking opportunities for thousands of unemployed young people.

The Standout

Flipping the script on youth unemployment.

Since 2020, BeSingularity has trained over 10,000 young people and placed more than 4,000 in sales roles – with over 57% of placements being women.

Through a rapid 3-day in-house training program, job seekers gain practical, market-ready sales skills tailored to Ethiopia’s growing industries. Businesses, in turn, can benefit from a flexible outsourcing model that allows them to scale their sales efforts quickly and affordably – without the overhead of permanent hires. And with a built-in replacement guarantee for employers, BeSingularity ensures continuity and reliability from day one.

With a strong focus on gender equality and inclusive growth, BeSingularity isn’t just filling jobs – it’s transforming the sales landscape and empowering the next generation of Ethiopian professionals.
